I’ll be honest, I was a little late to the Charlotte Tilbury makeup train, but hey better late than never right??
After hearing friend after friend, blogger after blogger rave about collection, I set my course to Nordstrom and gathered me up a variety of products and started my journey. Now since I was effectively testing or sampling here, I sought out gift sets that would give me a wide range of products without spending all my hard earned dough.
My main goal was to try the highly praised Magic Cream, the Filmstar Sculpt and Highlight, and Wonder Glow. I also ended up with an eyeshadow, some skincare items, and an eyeliner. So is the Charlotte Tilbury collection worth it?
For the most part yes.
The Magic Cream lives up to its reputation, it hydrates my skin like no other BUT a full size jar is $100, so I try to use my sample size sparingly to make it last. The Wonder Glow is great, I actually burned through my travel size portion and ended up buying a full size bottle. Most of the time I mix it with my foundation, but it does look good on its own if you just want to make your skin look fresh and bright.
My beauty lust items here were the Rock n’ Kohl eyeliner and the Sculpt and Highlight.
The eyeliner is what dreams are made of. Not only does it go on super smooth but it also stays put, even in my waterline. I ended up getting 4 additional colors in full size. Really the only that would make it better is if it were a twist-up instead of a good old “needs to be sharpened” pencil.
The Sculpt and Highlight is a great bronzer highlighter duo that gives you the right amount of glow and warmth without looking fake.
Overall, if you are looking for an excellent higher end makeup line, you really cannot go wrong with Charlotte Tilbury.
